The Foundation for Educational Excellence proudly presented the 2025 Dr. Wayne Carbiener “Above & Beyond” Award to Allison Gallagher, Beaufort County School District’s Teacher of the Year and a science teacher at H.E. McCracken Middle School. She received a $1,000 grant to support her classroom projects and student needs. This annual award honors the legacy of Dr. Wayne Carbiener, a devoted advocate for education, and recognizes teachers who go “above and beyond” for their students.

We are deeply grateful to have reached our 2025 fundraising goal of $10,000, made possible through a meaningful combination of generous individual donations and recent grant awards from the Bargain Box and the Moss Creek Charitable Fund. This collective support strengthens our ability to invest in innovative opportunities that benefit students and schools across Beaufort County.
