The Bargain Box

The Original Thrift Store of Hilton Head Island; Awarding Grants to Local Non-profits for 51 Years.

The Bargain Box provides a way to recycle usable items that are no longer needed in order to benefit local residents and organizations. It's a wonderland of affordable treasures. The non-profit thrift shop caters to a broad range of customers and provides everything for home and family, including the unexpected and the unusual, at bargain prices.

The organization strives to provide financial and service support to organizations in Beaufort and Jasper Counties while emphasizing education, environment, health and human service and youth activities. Fundraising includes; an Annual Golf Tournament, a Walk/Run event, a House Tour/Auction, a Yard Sale, and Callawassie Players theater productions. FOCI is proud to be carrying forth the vision of its founders who started with a tiny idea 17 years ago and watched it grow.

Italian American Club of Hilton Head

They are a charitable service organization, which promotes Italian heritage / culture, while raising and distributing funds to local scholarships and charitable organizations in the Hilton Head and Bluffton areas of South Carolina.

Funds are derived through several very successful and long-running fundraising programs, including our Italian Heritage Festival, Italian Sunday Dinner, "Italian Open" Golf Tournament, Bocce Tournament and Zin Experience ("ZinFest") Wine Gala. The programs are held at various times throughout the year in the Hilton Head and Bluffton area.

Women in Philanthropy

Women in Philanthropy is a dedicated group of local women who are making a difference in the Lowcountry through the power of collective giving. Since our founding in 2003, we have built an endowment of over $1 million and, since 2006, we have awarded more than $518,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations throughout Beaufort County. 
 

The Women in Philanthropy Fund provides grants to help strengthen families and individuals in the areas of arts and culture, community development, education, the environment, health, and human services.

Moss Creek Charitable Fund

Started in March, 2018 by Moss Creek volunteers, the mission of the Moss Creek Charitable Fund is to encourage giving by Moss Creek residents and to provide grants to local charitable organizations in the Lowcountry, helping those with the greatest needs, consistent with the caring spirit of the Moss Creek community. The Fund is administered by a volunteer committee of residents with administrative support from the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry.

Women's Association of Hilton Head Island

The goals of the Women’s Association of Hilton Head Island are to promote the natural and cultural beauty of the Island, encourage projects which benefit the community, and facilitate communication among the women of the Lowcountry. Today, WAHHI is over 1000 members strong. The organization has played a vital role in the community since 1961.

The Wexford Foundation

While our community has the reputation as an upscale resort area, the reality is that a significant portion of the population lives at or below the poverty level and experiences the lack of many basic needs. The Wexford Foundation provides financial and volunteer resources to local non-profit organizations who provide humanitarian needs. Launched in 2012, the Foundation has awarded over $2 million to local charities serving Hilton Head Island , SC and the surrounding area
