In early November 2018, Deborah Colella, Board Chair of the Foundation For Educational Excellence (pictured right) and Lisa Carroll, board member (left), attended The Beaufort County School District State of Schools breakfast in Beaufort. The theme of the breakfast and awards recognition was “This is the Year to Believe Create Succeed Discover.” Colella accepted an award on behalf of the Foundation for their 10 year anniversary in providing grants to teachers for innovative projects. The Foundation has awarded over $200,000 to the Beaufort County School District over the past 10 years.
