The Island Packet featured a front page article on May 21 highlighting one of our grant awardees, Whale Branch Middle School's Archeology Club and their project, "Revolution in the Lowcountry." The Foundation for Educational Excellence has granted $3,000 to the Whale Branch Archeology Club to further their studies of the area which is located near the school building. On May 30th Mr. Brugger and Dr. Pamela Storey will receive, through a grant written by the Foundation, an additional grant of $9,000 from Women in Philanthropy. Women in Philanthropy's theme this year was "Discovering Our Heritage."
