Springtime Friday nights on Hilton Head are best spent listening to LIVE music. If you are local then you have probably heard of the amazing band - Deas-Guyz. (They are kind of Lowcountry legends.) Well, what if you could enjoy a night of live music featuring Deas-Guyz while supporting a REALLY great cause?
The upcoming “Let’s Rock! For Innovative Education” concert is definitely a can’t-miss event for all Lowcountry music lovers. The Foundation for Educational Excellence presents the “Let’s Rock!” concert on Friday, March 8 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with an evening of rock performances by well-known, local bands. In addition to Deas-Guyz, Bob Savarese and the Horan Brothers Band with Lee Johnson will also take the stage.
The concert takes place at Hilton Head Island High School’s Seahawk Cultural Center, 70 Wilborn Road. All proceeds benefit the Foundation’s mission of seeking and sustaining county-wide charitable and educational resources that support the mission and goals of the Beaufort County Public School District.
Headlining the concert…Deas-Guyz in an entertaining mix of old Motown, rhythm & blues, pop, rock, reggae and dance beats. Their musical selections range from Motown sounds of The Temptations, The Drifters, and Marvin Gaye, to Bob Marley classics and the dance sounds of Pharrell Williams and Montell Jordan.
But you will also enjoy even MORE music from the Horan Brothers Band…an eclectic musical group that have been performing together for over a decade. They love inviting other musicians to join them at gigs so Lee Johnson will be a special guest for the evening.
If you attended the event last year then you got to witness the masterful musical talents of the great Bob Savarese. This year he is returning to the stage to treat the audience to more fun and entertaining tunes that you are sure to recognize.
